MBBS abroad works well for many students, but it is the wrong choice in some situations. Think twice if:
- The budget is stretched to the limit. Costs rise over six years; families need a buffer.
- The student struggles to study without supervision. There is less day-to-day monitoring abroad.
- The main goal is to avoid hard exams. A licensing exam is waiting at the end.
- A good, affordable seat is available at home. Compare honestly before leaving.
- The student does not want to go. Motivation matters more than the country.
Saying “not now” is sometimes the smartest decision. A repeat NEET attempt can be a better plan for some students.
